This means that on average, South African Restaurants in the US have received 22 reviews on their Google My Business profiles. However, it is important to note that there is a wide range of review counts among these restaurants, with some having as few as 0 reviews and others having as many as 50. Additionally, we found that the majority of South African Restaurants (over 50%) have 20 or fewer reviews, indicating that many of these businesses may benefit from implementing a more robust review and reputation management strategy. This suggests that South African cuisine may be gaining popularity in unexpected places. It’s also worth mentioning that the number of reviews does not necessarily indicate the quality of the restaurants, but it does provide insight into the reputation management landscape for South African restaurants in these cities. The cities with the least amount of South African restaurant Google reviews were Corona, Lexington, Shreveport, Fort Wayne, Durham, Toledo, Eugene, Augusta, Paterson, and Baton Rouge. These cities had only 92, 74, 68, 39, 24, 17, 5, 3, 0, and 0 reviews respectively. It is interesting to note that despite being in the top 3 most populated cities, these cities had significantly lower numbers of reviews compared to other cities in the study. This could be due to a variety of factors such as a lack of South African restaurants in these areas or a lack of awareness about these restaurants among the local population. Further research is needed to understand the reasons behind these low review numbers.
