In our data study we searched for the key phrase College in New York City, and then repeated this for the other top 199 most populated cities in the United States. We then analyzed College Google Business (previously: Google My Business) Profiles to understand the Industry. How many reviews do you need? How many reviews do you need to rank in the top 3 of Google? And much more.

Average Number Of Reviews For All College Companies

After conducting a thorough analysis of College Google My Business profiles in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, it was found that the average number of reviews for all college companies was 43. This means that on average, college companies have received 43 reviews from their customers. However, it is important to note that there is a wide range of review counts among college companies, with some having as few as 4 reviews and others having as many as 500 reviews. It is also interesting to note that the majority of college companies (over 50%) have received 20 or less reviews, indicating that there is room for improvement in terms of review and reputation management for these companies. Overall, this data study provides valuable insights into the review and reputation management landscape for college companies in the United States.

Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Phoenix also had relatively high averages, with 199, 110, and 93 reviews respectively. On the other hand, San Diego, San Jose, and Chicago had lower averages, with 72, 58, and 88 reviews respectively. These findings suggest that there may be a disparity in the level of attention and effort put into review and reputation management among college companies in different cities.

Cities With The Highest Amount Of College Google Reviews

After conducting a thorough research project analyzing College Google My Business profiles in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, it was found that Boston, Columbus, Houston, Washington, and Knoxville had the highest amount of Google reviews for colleges. Boston took the lead with a whopping 6430 reviews, followed by Columbus with 2211 reviews, Houston with 1787 reviews, Washington with 1728 reviews, and Knoxville with 1678 reviews. It’s interesting to note that Boston appeared twice on the list, indicating a strong presence of colleges in the city. The data suggests that these cities have a thriving college scene and that students and visitors are actively engaging with and reviewing these institutions on Google. This information can be valuable for colleges looking to improve their online reputation and review management strategies.

Cities With The Least Amount Of College Google Reviews That Still Ranked In The Top 3
