We then analyzed Bed & Breakfast Google Business (previously: Google My Business) Profiles to understand the Industry. How many reviews do you need? How many reviews do you need to rank in the top 3 of Google? And much more.

Average Number Of Reviews For All Bed & Breakfast Companies

After conducting a thorough analysis of Bed & Breakfast Google My Business profiles in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, it was found that the average number of reviews for all Bed & Breakfast companies was 17. This means that on average, Bed & Breakfast companies have received 17 reviews from their customers. However, it is important to note that there is a wide range of review counts among these companies, with some having as few as 0 reviews and others having as many as 500 reviews. Additionally, the study found that the majority of Bed & Breakfast companies (over 50%) had 100 or less reviews, indicating that many of these businesses may not be actively managing their online reputation. Overall, the data suggests that there is a significant opportunity for Bed & Breakfast companies to improve their review and reputation management strategies in order to attract more customers and stand out in a crowded market.

The remaining cities had significantly lower average numbers of reviews, with Philadelphia having 157, Houston with 136, Dallas with 125, Phoenix with 90, San Antonio with 59, New York with 58, and San Diego with 54. These findings suggest that Bed & Breakfast companies in Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Jose have a higher level of engagement with their customers, as evidenced by the large number of reviews. It also highlights the importance of reputation management for Bed & Breakfast companies, as positive reviews can greatly impact their ranking on Google and ultimately drive more business.

Cities With The Highest Amount Of Bed & Breakfast Google Reviews

Cities With The Least Amount Of Bed & Breakfast Google Reviews That Still Ranked In The Top 3

After conducting a thorough data study on Bed & Breakfast establishments in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, it was found that some cities with the least amount of Google reviews still managed to rank in the top 3. These cities include Irving, Escondido, Mesa, Montgomery, Bridgeport, El Paso, Fremont, Chandler, San Bernardino, and Anaheim. Despite having only 35, 33, 32, 21, 14, 12, 10, 10, 0, and 0 reviews respectively, these cities still managed to make it to the top 3. This finding is quite perplexing as one would expect cities with more reviews to rank higher. It raises questions about the factors that contribute to the ranking of Bed & Breakfast establishments on Google My Business. Further research is needed to understand the dynamics of review and reputation management in the Bed & Breakfast industry.
