Setting Up a Review Request Campaign

Review campaigns automate the process of requesting reviews from customers. Instead of manually following up, you can set up email and SMS sequences that automatically reach out at the perfect timing. RG lets you run multiple campaigns simultaneously, unlike other software that limits you to one campaign at a time.

Step 1: Navigate to the contacts section

  1. On the left side navigation menu of the main dashboard, you’ll find the “contacts” dropdown.
  2. Click the dropdown arrow to display the menu
    • Main: Contact database and management
    • Campaigns: Automated review request sequences
    • Review Funnel: Customer review landing page
    • Bulk Actions: One-time mass messaging

Note: You can create your campaign before adding contacts. You can also add contacts so you can go through the steps sequentially.

Step 2: Go to the campaigns section

  1. By default, you’ll see a “get reviews campaign” set up there; you can edit it directly if you want to.
  2. Start the process to create a new campaign by clicking on the “+ add new campaign” blue button.

  1. Select your preferred campaign template. Options include:
    • Start From Scratch: Build completely custom campaigns with your triggers, timing, and messages.
    • Get Reviews: Pre-built 3-day sequence that automatically requests reviews via email and SMS.
    • Keyword Trigger: Sends automatic responses when customers text specific keywords to your number.
    • Birthday: Automatically sends birthday messages to contacts based on their birthday date.
    • Condition: Creates if/then logic campaigns that change based on customer responses or actions.
    • Three-Day Sale: Promotes time-limited offers with automated countdown and urgency messaging.

Step 3: Customize your campaign

  1. After selecting your template, you’ll see the campaign editor with 4 tabs at the top. Start with the Settings tab:
    • Campaign Name: Change from default to something descriptive (e.g., “Summer Review Requests”)
    • Allow re-entry: Toggle ON if contacts can re-enter after completing the campaign
    • Stop On Response: Toggle ON to stop campaigns when customers reply
  1. Customize Your Message Sequence. Click the Builder tab to modify your campaign flow:
    • View the timeline: See your complete email/SMS sequence
    • Edit messages: Click any email or SMS step to customize content
    • Adjust timing: Click wait periods to change delays between messages
    • Add more steps: Use + buttons to extend your sequence
    • Add triggers: Click “+ Add a new trigger” for advanced automation

Note: Each template comes with a pre-built sequence. Edit timing and content to match your campaign’s needs.

  1. Click “Save Changes” at the bottom right to apply the changes in your sequence.
  2. Monitor Performance (After Launch). Use the monitoring tabs to track results:
    • Enrollment History: See which contacts entered your campaign
    • Execution Logs: Track message delivery and troubleshoot issues
