Email customization helps you personalize your review request messages with your brand voice using specific subject lines and targeted content. Well-crafted emails can also increase response rates compared to generic templates.
Step 1: Access Email Editor
Navigate to your campaign’s Builder tab:
- Open any existing campaign or create a new one
- Click the “Builder” tab to view your sequence
- Click any email step (the boxes with envelope icons)4. The email editor will open and display the customization options

Step 2: Familiarize With Email Settings
- The email editor includes these key fields:
- Action Name: Label for your email step (e.g., “Initial Email”, “Follow-up Email”)
- Subject: Email subject line that customers see in their inbox
- Body: Main email content with rich text formatting
- Email Type: So you can switch between HTML and plain text
- Test Email: For you to send a test to one of your emails and verify everything looks exactly like you wanted it to look.
Step 3: Craft Effective Subject Lines
- Your subject line determines if customers open your email. Below are some examples of effective subject lines.
- How was your experience with [Business Name]?
- We’d love your feedback on your recent visit.
- Share your thoughts about [Business Name]
- Quick question about your [service/product]
Step 4: Customize Email Content
Use the rich text editor to create compelling emails:
- Replace Placeholder Text: Click in the body area where it says “Email content here” and replace it with your actual email content.
- Format Your Text: Use the toolbar buttons to apply formatting:
- Select text and click B for bold, I for italic
- Use the paragraph dropdown to set headings or normal text
- Click the link icon to add hyperlinks to your review funnel
- Add Your Signature: Replace “[business_name]” in the signature line with your actual business name.
- Choose Email Type:
- Select HTML for formatted emails with styling
- Select Plain Text for simple, unformatted emails
- Test Your Email: Enter an email address in the “Test Email” field and click “SEND TEST” to preview how your email will appear to recipients.
⚠️ Test with different email clients (Gmail, Outlook, etc.)
Step 5: Save and Launch
After customizing all email steps:
- If the test results were positive, click the “Save changes” blue button.
- Click “Save Changes” for the entire campaign
- Test the complete sequence with a sample contact.
