We then analyzed Locksmith Google Business (previously: Google My Business) Profiles to understand the Industry. How many reviews do you need? How many reviews do you need to rank in the top 3 of Google? And much more.

After conducting a thorough analysis of Locksmith Google My Business profiles in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, we found that the average number of reviews for all locksmith companies is 40 or less. This means that the majority of locksmith businesses have a relatively small number of reviews, with only a few outliers having more than 100 or 200 reviews. It’s interesting to note that the number of reviews doesn’t necessarily correlate with the size of the city, as some smaller cities had locksmith businesses with more reviews than larger cities. This suggests that reputation management is an important factor for locksmith businesses, regardless of their location or size. Overall, this data highlights the need for locksmith companies to prioritize their online reputation and actively seek out positive reviews from satisfied customers.

After conducting a thorough research project analyzing Locksmith Google My Business profiles in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, it was found that the average number of reviews for locksmith companies ranked in the top 3 of Google was highest in Chicago with a staggering 3782 reviews. New York followed closely behind with 714 reviews, while San Antonio, Phoenix, and San Diego had an average of 442, 366, and 360 reviews respectively. Houston, Philadelphia, Dallas, Los Angeles, and San Jose had an average of 290, 267, 193, 183, and 20 reviews respectively. These findings suggest that locksmith companies in larger cities tend to have a higher number of reviews, potentially due to a larger customer base and higher demand for their services. It also highlights the importance of reputation management for locksmith companies, as a high number of positive reviews can greatly impact their visibility and credibility on Google.
