In our data study we searched for the key phrase University in New York City, and then repeated this for the other top 199 most populated cities in the United States. We then analyzed University Google Business (previously: Google My Business) Profiles to understand the Industry. How many reviews do you need? How many reviews do you need to rank in the top 3 of Google? And much more.

Average Number Of Reviews For All University Companies

After conducting a thorough analysis of University Google My Business profiles in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, it was found that the average number of reviews for all University companies was 45. This means that on average, University companies have received 45 reviews on their Google My Business profiles. However, it is important to note that there is a wide range of variation in the number of reviews received by University companies. While some companies have received only 4 or less reviews, others have received as many as 500 reviews. This variation in the number of reviews received by University companies highlights the importance of review and reputation management for these companies. By actively managing their online reputation and encouraging customers to leave reviews, University companies can improve their visibility and attract more potential customers.

Cities With The Highest Amount Of University Google Reviews

After conducting a thorough analysis of University Google My Business profiles in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, we found that Ontario, New York, and Columbus had the highest amount of Google reviews for universities. It’s interesting to note that Columbia, Vancouver, and Salt Lake City also made the top 10 list, indicating that universities in these cities are actively managing their online reputation. San Diego, Houston, Philadelphia, and Birmingham also had a significant number of reviews, showing that universities in these cities are also making an effort to engage with their audience on Google. Overall, this data study highlights the importance of review and reputation management for universities in today’s digital age. By actively monitoring and responding to reviews, universities can improve their online presence and attract more students and faculty.

Cities With The Least Amount Of University Google Reviews That Still Ranked In The Top 3

After conducting a thorough data study on University Google My Business profiles in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, it was found that some cities with the least amount of reviews still managed to rank in the top 3. Washington, Alexandria, and Warren were among the cities with the least amount of University Google reviews, with only 7, 5, and 4 reviews respectively. Despite this, they managed to rank in the top 3, which raises questions about the impact of reviews on a university’s reputation. It is possible that other factors such as location, academic programs, and campus culture may have played a larger role in their ranking. Further research is needed to fully understand the relationship between reviews and university reputation.
