We then analyzed Supermarket Google Business (previously: Google My Business) Profiles to understand the Industry. How many reviews do you need? How many reviews do you need to rank in the top 3 of Google? And much more.
Average Number Of Reviews For All Supermarket Companies
After conducting a thorough analysis of Supermarket Google My Business profiles in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, we found that the average number of reviews for all supermarket companies was 22. This means that on average, each supermarket had 22 reviews on their Google My Business profile. However, it is important to note that there was a wide range of review counts among the supermarkets we analyzed. While some had as few as 4 reviews, others had over 500. This suggests that there is a significant variation in the level of engagement and reputation management among supermarket companies in the United States. Overall, our findings highlight the importance of actively managing online reviews and reputation for businesses in the supermarket industry.

After conducting a thorough analysis of Supermarket Google My Business profiles in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, we have found that Chandler, Arizona has the highest amount of Google reviews for supermarkets with a staggering 93,851 reviews. Following closely behind are Laredo, Texas with 73,230 reviews and Brownsville, Texas with 48,458 reviews. It is interesting to note that the top three cities with the highest amount of reviews are all located in the southern region of the United States. Other cities that made the top ten list include Omaha, Nebraska, Miramar, Florida, Orlando, Florida, Worcester, Massachusetts, Grand Prairie, Texas, Gilbert, Arizona, and Frisco, Texas. These cities all have a significant amount of reviews ranging from 36,698 to 34,434. It is clear that consumers are actively engaging with and leaving reviews for supermarkets in these cities, indicating the importance of reputation management for businesses in the industry.
Cities With The Least Amount Of Supermarket Google Reviews That Still Ranked In The Top 3

Further research is needed to understand the reputation management landscape of Supermarkets in these cities and the reasons behind their high ranking despite the low number of reviews.
