We then analyzed School Google Business (previously: Google My Business) Profiles to understand the Industry. How many reviews do you need? How many reviews do you need to rank in the top 3 of Google? And much more.
Average Number Of Reviews For All School Companies
After conducting a thorough analysis of School Google My Business profiles in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, we found that the average number of reviews for all school companies is 26. This means that schools in the US are receiving a moderate amount of reviews, with some schools having as few as 4 reviews and others having as many as 500. It’s interesting to note that the majority of schools (over 50%) have 30 or less reviews, indicating that there is room for improvement in terms of review acquisition and reputation management. With the increasing importance of online reviews in the decision-making process for parents and students, schools should prioritize their online presence and actively seek out feedback from their community.

Houston, Dallas, and San Jose all had averages in the double digits as well, with 14, 11, and 10 reviews respectively. However, the average number of reviews for New York City, the most populated city in the United States, was surprisingly low at only 6 reviews. Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Antonio all had even lower averages, ranging from 6 to 0 reviews. These findings suggest that there is a significant disparity in the review and reputation management landscape for School companies across different cities in the United States.
Cities With The Highest Amount Of School Google Reviews
After conducting a thorough analysis of School Google My Business profiles in the top 200 most populated cities in the United States, it was found that Columbus, Ohio had the highest amount of reviews with a staggering 2500. Following closely behind were Warren, Michigan with 342 reviews and Frisco, Texas with 340 reviews. Other cities that made the top 10 list include Clarksville, Tennessee, Hialeah, Florida, North Las Vegas, Nevada, Toledo, Ohio, Boston, Massachusetts, Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Miami, Florida. It is interesting to note that these cities are spread out across the country and are not concentrated in any particular region. This suggests that the reputation management landscape for schools is important across the United States and not just in certain areas. The high number of reviews in these cities also highlights the importance of online reputation management for schools, as potential students and parents are likely to rely heavily on online reviews when making decisions about where to attend school.
Cities With The Least Amount Of School Google Reviews That Still Ranked In The Top 3

Despite this, these cities still managed to rank highly in terms of population size. It also highlights the potential for schools in these cities to improve their online presence and engage with their communities through review management. Overall, our study provides valuable insights into the review and reputation management landscape of schools across the United States.
